“Inconvenience and greatness cannot co-exist”

Ed Mylett

Busy. Everyone is busy.

I would rank “busy” as the number one response when bumping in to someone and asking how they’re doing.

Busy. Busy. Busy.

The busy card is a favourite of many to excuse themselves from other things they know they should be investing even a little of their time on.

Things like:

  • Strength training 3x/week for 30-45 minutes
  • Learning to eat like an adult
  • Walking and getting some sun and time in nature
  • Reading books that will help them learn and grow

These things can be seen as inconvenient. People don’t have time.

Behold, one of my favourite quotes:

“If you don’t make time for your wellness you will be forced to make time for your illness.”

Joyce Sunada

The result you are seeking is on the other side of the inconvenience you are avoiding

A few small inconveniences can completely change the course of one’s life.

One chooses strength training 3x/week for 45 minutes. Another is too busy.

In only a few years time passing, one is living strong and confident and free. The other is not. And they like to complain about their situation.

One chooses to make some simple and sustainable changes to their nutrition. Another is too busy.

In only a few years time passing, one is living strong and confident and free. The other is not. And they like to complain about their situation.

Which one will you be?

“Greatness” can mean something different to each of us.

Though one thing is certain. How it is obtained will never be through a life of ease and comfort.

It will take the right inconveniences for you to achieve your own version of greatness.

Greatness or mediocrity.

The choice is yours.
